After a 6 weeks long rest filled with the studies of the Level 4 Tri Coaching Degree at the Charles Uni in the capital of the Czech republic - Praque. I am back in HEAVY training. No mucking around no graduate increases! I am back in my australian hometown of Jindabyne to crank some miles for the 2010 season. I am based at the Bungarra Alpine Centre in alt. of 1200 meters above sealevel.
As the weather is in its 30 deg. of Celsius there is no excuses. Olny good and best training sessions are allowed. We often run 6 km cross run to the swim sessions which are held at the Jindabyne freshwater dam or the local 25m swimcentre. The 6km Run back turns often into a mounatin race between myself and my Korean Natl. team athletes who posses way bigger amount of speed. This stuff completelly opens our lungs. On the bike we obten cycle to Charloes Pass (1835m of alt.), from where is a really scenic 18 kms cross country run with magnificent 360-degree views at the top of the Australias highest peak Mt.Kosciusko (2 228 m). This run used to be mine and Brad Kahlefeld key base training sessions during the previous decade. Stay tuned as in several days we will move to the runners altitude training mecca of Falls Creek (Victoria).
