ENG: Duathlon korean champs
I have just raced the duathlon korean champs this Sunday. The course was pretty hilly especially on the run. The distances were 5-45-10. The weather still chilly 4 degr. Celsius in the morning. I knew I will have to go hard not to freeze and as well because all the korean elite national team was racing too.
As I had a cold the week proceeding to the race I found it quite hard on the first run. I and 2 strongest athleetes broke away and headed onto the bike with a handy 20sec. lead. From the first meters we went really hard not to give anyone chance to catch us.
The course was divided into 4 undulating laps.On lap 4 I succesfully tested the 58mm carbon rims in an attack and got 50sec. bonus into the final 10km run. But o the 2,5km mark the biggest korean triathlon promise Heo Min Ho have cought me and I have secured second place ahead of Kim Ju Seok.
